The IKI handle has a palindromic structural form: the profile in the view from above
is identical to that of the frontal view, but reversed by 180 degrees.
An elegant, essential form in which the clean angles generate a mutable volume that concludes with semi-circular forms and suggests the proper grip with its frontal profile.
Simple, sophisticated, spontaneous
The concept of balance between opposites derived from Japanese philosophy has prompted the designers to choose the name IKI – another palindrome – which means “simple, sophisticated, spontaneous”.
The design of the flat carefully defines warm, tidy and intimate environments characterized by the use of wood in a natural finish and the elegantly contrasting tones.
He lives and works between Milan and Paestum, his hometown. He graduated in Industrial Design at the IUAV/ Università della Repubblica di San Marino in 2011.
