LA VETTA

BY PARK

La Vetta, near the town of Andermatt, is a meeting point between Alpine rigor and Italian design. Leva, designed by Park — like the project’s interior, is an essential detail: the pure expression of the handle concept.

A jewel set among the Swiss passes

Andermatt is a small jewel among the great Swiss passes. Here La Vetta, a residential project has been developed, intertwining the architectural rigor of Slik Architekten with the interior design of Park. Fourteen apartments and four penthouses, spread over six floors, respond to the hospitality needs of the Swiss municipality, shaping a stay that combines Alpine style with Italian refinement. The village itself tells the story of a meeting place between cultures: nestled at the foot of the mountain yet looking toward the Mediterranean peninsula.

The interiors draw inspiration from 20th-century Alpine architecture, from Mollino to Gellner, reinterpreted with a contemporary perspective. Warm woods, soft geometries, and color palettes inspired by local vegetation create environments directly connected to the surrounding landscape.

Within this balance between interior and exterior stands the Leva handle by Dnd, chosen as a sign of transition and continuity between spaces: an object that enhances the everyday gesture, turning it into a conscious experience.

Leva is the pure expression of the concept of mechanics applied to design. The sharp front cut merges with the rounded, welcoming inner part, creating a balance between rigor and comfort. Leva, awarded an Honorable Mention at the XXVIII Compasso d’Oro ADI and selected for the ADI Design Index 2023, is also available in the dual-finish Mirror version.
