Il Castello Restaurant, Castelvetro di Modena.
A project that blends history and modernity, enhanced by Dnd’s (IN)finito handle, a symbol of elegance, gesture, and timeless design.
Castelvetro di Modena is a Renaissance village where a glimpse can open a door to a historic past. The design of Il Castello restaurant plays on this stargate: a thread that is already stretched towards the next fascination. It is a true homage to the culture and memory of the place, as desired by the Cremonini family. The charming checkerboard square welcomes the restaurant, which enhances its beauty with an essential and refined architectural language.
The design idea, with attention to detail, translates a passion for catering into an environment suspended between authenticity and innovation, simplicity of everyday life and exciting beauty.
The interior design style alternates between simplicity and sophistication, original materials and contemporary finishes. In this balance, the (IN)finito handle by Dnd, designed by Alfonso Femia, becomes more than a detail: it is the sign that accompanies the gesture of opening a door, transforming it into an experience. It is not just access to a new space, but an opening towards unexpected glimpses, stories, and atmospheres that manifest themselves unexpectedly.
The essential form of (IN)finito makes clear that invisible thread that connects the present to the past, what is known to what awaits us beyond the threshold.
(IN)finito is a collection of handles and pull handles designed by Alfonso Femia and selected for the ADI Design Index 2019. The handle stands out for its minimalist rosette and the variety of solutions available. The pull handle, with its linear profile, is offered in different lengths to enhance the verticality of the door.
GPΛ, founded in Bologna in 2023 by architects Giulio Gobbi and Matteo Patamia, operates in the residential, hospitality, commercial and executive sectors, with a particular focus on interiors inspired by the great tradition of art and architecture. Among its recent projects is the Il Castello restaurant, where it chose Dnd’s (IN)finito handle as a distinctive functional design detail.
