Uffici Brindisi is a project designed by Cosimo Vozza & Luciana Salamino, in which the (IN)finito handle by Dnd becomes the common thread linking the elegance of the past with the minimalism of the present.
In the heart of Brindisi’s historic centre, inside an elegant early 20th-century Art Nouveau building, a project designed by architects Cosimo Vozza & Luciana Salamino is taking shape. The building, with its ornate façades, frescoed staircase, cast iron balustrades and carved wooden door, tells a story of local entrepreneurship and architectural research.
The project consists of an authentic and respectful restoration: every trace of the past has been enhanced, while the new additions have been designed to remain legible, in a harmonious dialogue between memory and contemporaneity. The goal? To restore beauty without nostalgia, innovation without disruption.
In this interior design vision, the (IN)finito handle, designed by Alfonso Femia for Dnd, fits in perfectly. With its essential shape and delicate profile, it becomes a silent but meaningful gesture, a sign that enhances without concealing. Not just a functional detail, but a discreet presence that, like a thread, connects the origins of the structure to its new present.
The architects chose (IN)finito not only for its lines but also for its ability to adapt to different stylistic contexts. This handle model is available in different solutions thanks to the variety of finishes available and the possibility of choosing between several versions: with a square rosette, with a long plate or with a medium plate equipped with a lock. This versatility reinforces its role as an element capable of integrating with sobriety and character, without ever imposing itself.
(IN)finito is a handle that goes beyond the concept of simple opening: its rosette becomes invisible, the thin plate rests on the surface of the door. An almost meditative gesture that accompanies the flow of everyday life; an invisible thread that unconsciously takes us into a new dimension. Designed by Alfonso Femia, the handle was selected for the ADI Design Index 2019.
The architects Cosimo Vozza and Luciana Salamino lead their work from their studio in Francavilla Fontana (Brindisi). Their projects are focused on “the pursuit of minimal solutions in contrast to the current disharmony and decorative excess.”
Their architectural approach emphasizes a balance between the strength of architectural memory and the expressive clarity of contemporary design.
